But in the midst of all this, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric, who needs no introduction (but we&#8217;ll ask him just in case), knows how to find the right words to express his emotions and his vision of the future of our market. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Could you introduce yourself and your role in the tourism industry through IFTM?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What are IFTM Top Resa&#8217;s mission and objectives?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3596 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-724x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"403\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-724x1024.jpg 724w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-768x1087.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-1085x1536.jpg 1085w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-1447x2048.jpg 1447w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-3-scaled.jpg 1449w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 285px) 100vw, 285px\" \/>I&#8217;ve been <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.linkedin.com\/in\/fr%C3%A9d%C3%A9ric-lorin-28b28959\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Lorin, General Manager of IFTM Top Resa<\/a> for the past 4 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">As you know, this has been our industry&#8217;s flagship show for over 40 years.<br \/>\nMy role at IFTM is clearly to ensure that, year after year, the show is the most exhaustive possible showcase of the market in all its components and evolutions.<br \/>\nIt is the primary mission of a leading trade show to be at the cutting edge and on the lookout for emerging trends.<br \/>\nThis requires agility, dynamism and a shared vision on the part of myself and my teams.<br \/>\nThe second part of my role &#8211; and I hope to fulfill it well &#8211; is to embody the show and be its best ambassador to all the market players I know well.    <\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">IFTM postponed until next year, looking forward to IFTM 2021?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">As you&#8217;ve seen, it all happened in two episodes.<br \/>\nIn April, we were all fairly confident of even a modest recovery, but a recovery nonetheless at the time of deconfinement, so to be on the safe side, I postponed the show from September to November, all the more so as 94% of customers surveyed were strongly in favor of holding the show.<br \/>\nThe second episode was that the recovery, albeit timid, failed to materialize, as the impossibility of traveling became widespread with the closure of many borders, and the pandemic took off again.<br \/>\nHolding the show at all costs under these conditions became unreasonable, and I felt I had a duty of responsibility, transparency and loyalty to my market by not taking our exhibitors to a show that would not have lived up to their expectations this year.<br \/>\nBut it&#8217;s only a postponement, because I&#8217;m convinced that IFTM 2021 will be the long-awaited opportunity for everyone to get together and do business, I was going to say &#8230; FINALLY.    <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3598 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-1-300x138.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/frederic-lorin-iftm-tourisme-travel-1-768x353.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">What&#8217;s planned to replace IFTM 2020?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Despite the postponement of the show, I believe it is very important, not to say fundamental, to continue to communicate with our community, and to regularly bring them information and content such as conferences and training modules on both leisure and business travel&#8230; The digital tools we have all used extensively during this period will enable us to digitalize a number of things in this spirit.
