{"id":19173,"date":"2020-04-23T11:51:15","date_gmt":"2020-04-23T09:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/travel-bloggers-on-a-mission-for-french-destinations\/"},"modified":"2020-04-23T11:51:15","modified_gmt":"2020-04-23T09:51:15","slug":"travel-bloggers-on-a-mission-for-french-destinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/en\/travel-bloggers-on-a-mission-for-french-destinations\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel bloggers on a mission for French destinations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While the job of a travel blogger often rhymes with long-haul flights and explorations on the other side of the world, the tourist offices of French destinations are not to be outdone in their collaborations, whether in terms of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/nos-services\/content-marketing\/\"> content creation (photos, videos), article writing<\/a> or<a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/nos-services\/relations-de-presse-tourisme-et-influenceurs\/\"> travel influencer missions<\/a>.<br \/>\nToday, more than ever in the context of the health crisis, French destinations have a card to play with travelers.<br \/>\nNow is the time to develop their reputation, engage their communities, and attract new travelers to their territory.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While we don&#8217;t know where this crisis will take us in a few months&#8217; time, it&#8217;s a safe bet that the French will certainly be choosing destinations close to home, in their own country.<br \/>\nWhether it&#8217;s for safety reasons, to support the local community, for economic reasons or for the sake of the environment, there are many reasons to do so.<br \/>\nAnd at a time when social networks are more consulted than ever, there&#8217;s plenty of space to awaken interest through original operations, build community loyalty and refine your editorial line.<br \/>\nSo why collaborate with a travel blogger on a French destination?<br \/>\nAnd how?    <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some bloggers have long since made the choice to highlight destinations close to home.<br \/>\nBy creating content, feeding a photo library and producing videos, they embody the values and assets of these destinations, and convey to the public the main thrusts of their communications, whether annual, one-off or even crisis-driven.<br \/>\nBenoit and Pauline, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldelse.com\/\">blog Worldelse<\/a>, are regularly commissioned by Tourist Offices and travel all over France to create content.  <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><div class=\"video-container\"><iframe style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fcotedortourisme%2Fvideos%2F1318697864933134%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=850\" width=\"850\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Travel Insight: How would you define your job?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pauline and Beno\u00eet:<\/strong> It&#8217;s very difficult to define our business in a single word, because it&#8217;s so comprehensive.<br \/>\nIn fact, we like to say that we&#8217;re like the Swiss army knives of digital communication, because we do the work of a videographer, a photographer, a copywriter, a manager of all kinds, an accountant and so on!<br \/>\nBut the word &#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/les-blogtrips-et-les-operations-de-creation-de-contenu\/\">Content Creator <\/a>&#8221; is the one that, I think, best defines our profession today.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve been doing this for almost 5 years now, producing content for brands and\/or tourist offices in the travel sector, but sometimes our role is also to support them in their communication strategy&#8230;   <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12216\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12216\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2923 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6-819x1024.jpg 819w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6-768x960.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6-1229x1536.jpg 1229w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-6.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12216\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo credit: World Else<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>You were commissioned by us in the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Or, what was the assignment?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim was simple: to introduce visitors to the department and show that Burgundy isn&#8217;t just about grands crus, snails and Dijon mustard.<br \/>\nWe also wanted to show that Burgundy could also be an attractive destination for 20-40 year-olds.<br \/>\nOver the course of a week, we took our van on a tour of the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Or and the neighboring departments that make up Burgundy, discovering the region&#8217;s natural and cultural heritage.<br \/>\nAll these discoveries were shared on our networks.<br \/>\nA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=1318697864933134\">video<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldelse.com\/decouvrir-la-bourgogne-un-sejour-entre-nature-patrimoine\/\">an article<\/a> were also created to share our stay.    <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In the end, 3 d\u00e9partements joined forces to develop this project. Can you tell us why and what are the advantages of this kind of collaboration between territories?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to the undeniable financial benefits for the departments, the main advantage of such collaboration is that it creates unity.<br \/>\nTo join forces to communicate the same values for ONE territory.<br \/>\nUnfortunately, in France, many territories play elbows and wage political wars with each other, which is a pity for tourism, because the average tourist doesn&#8217;t pay much attention to all this when he goes on vacation.<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s why, in my opinion, union is THE best way of creating beautiful things and inviting Internet users to discover the riches of a region.<br \/>\nIn our case, this union enabled us to discover completely different corners of the world, sometimes even the opposite.<br \/>\nWe discovered a wealth of culture, nature and know-how that we&#8217;d never imagined existed in this part of France.     <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Has this opened up new prospects in France?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During our week in Burgundy, the team and I decided to (also) promote the slow-travel road trip side of France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was a first for us and the feedback was very good.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s true that a vintage van symbolizes escape and authenticity, as well as being photogenic, so it was ideal for this trip.<br \/>\nAfter the trip, several tourist offices asked us to take him on board, as he was completely hooked on this way of traveling.<br \/>\nThe only small <em>hitch<\/em> was that our van doesn&#8217;t drive fast, so we had to adjust our schedules (after our timing mishaps in Burgundy) so as not to lose too much time on the roads, the aim being above all to explore J   <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12224\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12224\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2925 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/interview-world-else-influence-marketing-destination-france-travel-insight-digital-2.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12224\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo credit: World Else<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>You&#8217;ve traveled to several regions in France<em>.<\/em> Do you have a favorite destination to recommend this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes, it&#8217;s true that since 2016 we&#8217;ve been on one mission to France after another.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve discovered our country like never before.<br \/>\nDiscovered little corners, good addresses and, above all, met some incredible people!<br \/>\nAmong them, the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur, Berry, the English Channel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldelse.com\/decouvrir-la-bourgogne-un-sejour-entre-nature-patrimoine\/\">Burgundy<\/a> (so), the Vosges, Corr\u00e8ze, the Somme, Loire Atlantique, the Loire Valley, the Pyrenees and I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;m forgetting too many.   <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It&#8217;s hard to choose among all these corners, because they&#8217;re all so different, surprisingly or not.<br \/>\nFrance is so rich in diversity that we&#8217;ve never seen similar landscapes or corners.<br \/>\nHowever, despite our favorites, I think the Manche, Corr\u00e8ze and Somme are in the Top 3&#8230;although the Vosges was also very nice.
