{"id":19237,"date":"2019-07-29T17:05:51","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T15:05:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/itw-a-social-networking-travel-agencywith-celia-tichadelle-on-boursorama-tv\/"},"modified":"2019-07-29T17:05:51","modified_gmt":"2019-07-29T15:05:51","slug":"itw-a-social-networking-travel-agencywith-celia-tichadelle-on-boursorama-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/en\/itw-a-social-networking-travel-agencywith-celia-tichadelle-on-boursorama-tv\/","title":{"rendered":"ITW: A social networking travel agency?\nwith C\u00e9lia Tichadelle on Boursorama TV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Extract from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boursorama.com\/videos\/actualites\/travel-insight-celia-tichadelle-les-vacanciers-choisissent-des-destinations-instagramables-458e2be493f6437b1ed443cc268790f0\">BoursoramaTV<\/a> interview with C\u00e9lia Tichadelle on the development of the digital agency Travel Insight and how it stands out in its sector and its social networking missions for tourism professionals.  <div class=\"video-container\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.ultimedia.com\/deliver\/generic\/iframe\/mdtk\/01747256\/src\/pq8v5u\/zone\/21\/showtitle\/1\/\" width=\"100%\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Mastering the art of travel on social networks is the promise of Travel Insight, a digital agency co-founded by C\u00e9lia Tichadelle when she graduated from business school.<br \/>\nSocial networks were developing at breakneck speed, but the tourism sector was lagging far behind, hence the need to help them stand out and promote their destinations.<br \/>\nTravel Insight will be at IFTM Top Resa, with the Influencer Village from October 1 to 4, 2019.  <\/em><\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Was entrepreneurship something you always wanted to do, right after school?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The desire to set up my own business came to me during my studies at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.escaet.fr\/\">ESCAET<\/a>, a business school specializing in tourism.<br \/>\nI originally wanted to be a flight attendant, so I went to Tunon.<br \/>\nMy Master&#8217;s year was a real revelation.<br \/>\nThe desire to set up my own business started with my travel blog, which I was running at the time as a freelance alongside my studies.<br \/>\nI was starting to get a lot of clients asking me to manage their social networks, and I realized that the tourism industry needed to develop their digital communications.<br \/>\nAt the end of my studies, I teamed up with Stanislas Lucien, also an ESCAET student, and together we launched Travel Insight in early 2016.     <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">What is a digital tourism agency?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By definition, a digital agency is a company offering services for the creation of digital content: websites, mobile applications, services linked to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/nos-services\/strategie-digitale\/\">social networks,<\/a> web advertising, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/nos-services\/formations-reseaux-sociaux-et-influenceurs-voyage\/\">digital tourism training <\/a>and natural search engine optimization. However, we have the specificity of specializing in tourism and travel.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1325 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/r%C3%A9seaux-sociaux-travel-insight-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Why tourism?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tourism is a great passion of mine.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve always loved traveling, and since I was very young I&#8217;ve been lucky enough to be able to discover many destinations with my parents.<br \/>\nWorking in this sector was an obvious choice.  <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">How powerful are social networks in tourism?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The emergence of social networks and their arrival in our daily lives has revolutionized our consumer habits.<br \/>\nTourism is no exception.<br \/>\nSocial networks influence our behavior, our decisions and our consumption.<br \/>\nThe same applies to travel.<br \/>\nAs proof, &#8220;#travel&#8221; is the third most-used hashtag on Instagram.    <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When you work in tourism, you&#8217;re in the business of selling dreams, and travel social networks are a great communication channel for getting customers to dream about a destination, for example.<br \/>\nFacebook, Instagram and Youtube enable tourism players to easily reach their customers at relatively low cost compared to the cost of paper brochures of the time, which are still used today. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In terms of power, today 40% of travelers, especially Millennials, choose their vacation destination based on its &#8220;Instagrammability&#8221;.<br \/>\nAnd 70% of them have already chosen a destination with the help of an Instagram photo.<br \/>\nToday, tourism brands have an obligation to be present on travel social networks.  <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">How is tourism lagging behind in the digital age?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the travel industry, there are two main strands: the BtoC strand, which is starting to make headway, as it focuses on price, and the other BtoB strand, particularly in the business travel sector, which is much further behind.<br \/>\nSome players still don&#8217;t understand the value of social networks, for example, and many are totally absent without any social media strategy.<br \/>\nCompared with other sectors, tourism is lagging far behind in terms of digital communication.  <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">What are your responsibilities at Travel Insight?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We manage our tourism customers&#8217; social networks, advertising campaigns and community management.<br \/>\nWe create editorial and audiovisual content and optimize its distribution to reach the right people on the right channel.<br \/>\nWe also develop websites, create graphics, brand names and logos&#8230; We also offer a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/travailler-blogueur-influenceur-voyage\/\">tailor-made influencer relations<\/a> service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel-insight.fr\/travailler-blogueur-influenceur-voyage\/\">.<\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Who are your customers?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Destinations, hotel groups, tour operators, carriers, travel agencies, airports&#8230; We have both B2C and B2B customers specializing in leisure and business travel.<\/p>\n<h2>What can influencers do for you and how do you choose them?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Influencers enable us to reach a highly targeted audience in a very short space of time.<br \/>\nThey also enable us to create differentiating, highly personalized content for our customers.<br \/>\nWe choose them based on the quality of their work in terms of photos, videos and editorial content, but above all what we look at is the engagement they have on their social networks, and of course the number of visitors to their blog if they have one.<br \/>\nWhat interests us is not necessarily the number of followers, but the comments and reactions to their posts.   <\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">How do you measure the effectiveness of your actions?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On social networks, all our campaigns are tracked, enabling us to know the number of people reached and to go even further, right up to the act of purchase.<br \/>\nWith influencers, we tend to talk about return on engagement, rather than ROI, i.e. the engagement they&#8217;ve generated through their community.<br \/>\nIt all depends on what you&#8217;re selling.
